These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all services provided by NovaAstroMod LLC (“NovaAstroMod,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through the website www.novaastromod.com (the “Website”) and cover the H-alpha and related digital camera conversion services (“Conversion Services”). By submitting your camera for service, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by the following terms.

Service Description

NovaAstroMod has developed a specialized process for modifying standard digital cameras for astrophotography and related purposes. This process typically involves removing the factory-installed specific Spectral filters and replacing it with a precisely manufactured H-alpha or clear optical filter. Additional model-specific calibration and internal adjustments are performed as required.

As each camera model differs in internal design, performance after conversion may vary. The Website provides general guidance on expected outcomes, but specific results are not guaranteed.

Limited 3-Month Warranty

NovaAstroMod provides a limited three (3) month warranty from the date of service completion. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship directly related to the conversion performed.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage, water or environmental exposure, or misuse
  • Pre-existing conditions or manufacturer defects
  • Variability in focus, white balance, or exposure due to model limitations
  • Damage occurring after the unit leaves our facility

If a valid claim is submitted during the warranty period, NovaAstroMod will, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected component or re-perform the conversion service. This warranty is non-transferable.

Limitation of Liability

NovaAstroMod assumes no liability for damage resulting from:

  • Pre-existing defects, prior tampering, or internal damage present upon arrival
  • Inherent design flaws of the original camera
  • Your misuse of the camera following conversion

However, if damage occurs to your camera as a direct result of Company error during the conversion process, NovaAstroMod will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the camera,
  • Replace it with a similar model,
  • Or reimburse you for its current value, as determined by NovaAstroMod.

Acknowledgment of Permanent Modification

You acknowledge and agree that the Conversion Services provided by NovaAstroMod result in a permanent modification to your camera. Once converted, the camera will no longer function in accordance with the original manufacturer’s specifications for standard photography.

  • The original manufacturer’s warranty will be void.
  • Replaced components will not be returned and become the property of NovaAstroMod.
  • It is your responsibility to back up all image files and remove memory cards or accessories before shipping. NovaAstroMod is not liable for loss of images or accessories sent with your device.

Performance Disclaimer

Due to inherent differences in camera sensors and architecture, post-conversion performance may vary. This includes:

  • Changes in spectral sensitivity
  • White balance limitations
  • Autofocus behavior
  • Exposure shifts

Some models may not support custom white balance settings and will require post-processing correction. NovaAstroMod does not guarantee identical performance across all camera models and does not offer refunds based on subjective image results.

Shipping and Risk of Loss

You are responsible for all costs and risks associated with shipping your camera to and from NovaAstroMod. We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method. NovaAstroMod is not liable for:

  • Damage or loss during shipping to or from our facility
  • Improper packaging by the sender
  • Shipping delays beyond our control

International Orders, Customs Charges, and Taxes

For orders placed outside of INDIA, customs duties, import taxes, and other local fees may be assessed upon delivery by your country’s customs authority. These charges are not included in the price of our products or services and are beyond the control of NovaAstroMod.

By placing an international order, you agree to accept full responsibility for any customs duties, taxes, handling fees, or additional charges imposed by your local government or shipping carrier upon delivery. Failure to pay these charges may result in delays, return of goods, or additional costs, for which NovaAstroMod is not liable.

Returns and Cancellations

Because the conversion is a custom service, all sales are final once the service has begun. Returns or cancellations may only be approved at NovaAstroMod’s discretion and must be requested before the camera is received or work has commenced.

Modifications to Terms

NovaAstroMod reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The current version will always be posted on the Website. Your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of any revised terms.
